This is the initial Call for papers for the Ninth Annual International Gatherings in Biosemiotics, to be held from June 30 to July 5, 2009 at the Department of Philosophy and History of Science, Charles University, Prague.
The Scientific Advisory Committee of the Ninth Annual Gatherings in Biosemiotics welcomes paper proposals from researchers in any academic discipline who are investigating the real-world use of sign processes among or within living organisms.
To submit a proposal, interested parties should e-mail to the address below an Abstract of between 300-600 words (absolutely no more). Abstracts should be sent as separate single one-page files using standard word-processing formats (.doc or .rtf – NO PDF files please) and file-named: YOUR LAST NAME_ABSG9
These proposals should be sent to abstracts2009@biosemiotics.org by February 15, 2009. Earlier submissions are highly encouraged.
PLEASE NOTE: The deadline for the submission of paper proposal abstracts has now passed, and no further paper proposals are being considered. A preliminary programme for the conference is here.
